A/W 2026 ORCHID OSTINATO
An enduring emblem of elegance, strength, and grace in Chinese culture. The orchid (兰花 lán huā) is rooted in childhood memories of wandering through bustling Chinese New Year flower markets, brushing through the delicate velvety petals of orchids. Further depth is drawn from the exquisite artistry of jade sculpture. Studying the way colour shifts and light dances through stone, the collection experiments with layered sheer fabrics to evoke the translucent, ethereal beauty of carved jade—fluid, complex, and serene.
The dramatic ruffled edges of the cattleya orchid are reimagined in sculptural silk chiffon dresses, each ruffle echoing the flower’s sensual undulation in the wind. While the spotted patterns and sharply twisted petals of the Odontoglossum inspired embroidered, pleated gowns emulating nature’s precision and poetry.
