A/W 2026 BENEATH THE LOTUS
<Beneath the Lotus> unfolds as a meditation on memory, heritage, and transformation, where the language of nature is translated into sculptural form. Recollections of family trips to Hong Kong Wetland Park became the catalyst of this collection; these visits became defined by quieter moments spent beside lotus ponds (荷花 hé huā) and wandering through botanical gardens; captivated by the delicate beauty of blooming flowers, and the quiet resilience of bamboo; these landscapes became an enduring visual archive, their organic forms continuing to resonate throughout my practice. This Eastern sensibility is brought into dialogue with the discipline of Western ballet and the expressive language of fine art. Years of classical ballet cultivated an instinct for movement, precision, and line; an education in fine arts refined an appreciation for form, texture, and composition.
Balancing organic softness with architectural structure, <Beneath the Lotus> reflects a continual conversation between East and West, tradition and modernity, memory and imagination. Each creation becomes a contemporary heirloom shaped by cultural duality, craftsmanship, and the enduring poetry of nature.
