Katie Ko Couture is meticulously designed and intricately hand-crafted in London. Katie and her small atelier team of skilled artisans use the finest materials and couture techniques, reimagined through a contemporary lens.

Rooted in the belief that fashion and art are inseparable, every silhouette behind as a canvas. Drawing from her fine art background, Katie experiments with materials to develop richly textured surfaces and innovative textiles, describing her process as "painting" with materials. Every creation balances sculptural form, craftsmanship, and artistic expression.

The couture journey is an intimate collaboration between designer and client. From the initial consultation to the final finishing, every stage is guided by a shared creative vision. The Katie Ko couture experience is deeply personal, where each finished piece is a vessel of story, artistry and enduring craftsmanship.

THE EXPERIENCE

The couture journey is an intimate collaboration between designer and client. From the initial consultation to the final finishing, every stage is guided by a shared creative vision. The Katie Ko couture experience is deeply personal, where each finished piece is a vessel of story, artistry and enduring craftsmanship.

Each creation may evolve from a signature design within the Katie Ko archive or be conceived entirely bespoke, personal to your story. From developing entirely new silhouettes to creating custom embroidered artwork inspired by your personal story, every detail is thoughtfully considered. Meaningful dates, names, hand-painted motifs, and symbolic elements can be incorporated into the design, transforming each garment into a one-of-a-kind heirloom

THE FIRST APPOINTMENT

Your couture journey begins with a private consultation with the designer—an opportunity to discuss your vision, your event, and the dress you imagine wearing. his initial meeting also offers a chance to explore Katie Ko’s collection of artworks, textiles, and signature embroideries.

Appointments may be conducted either in person at our London atelier, or virtually. During the consultation, you may try on selected pieces from the studio archive to discover the silhouettes, colours, and styles that feel most comfortable for you.

Detailed measurements are also taken at this stage, if you are an international client it is useful to have these measurements taken by a professional tailor.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

Following the initial consultation, begins developing the creative direction through sketches, mood boards, and design concepts that bring your vision to life. Every couture piece is uniquely conceived and meticulously crafted by the Katie Ko atelier—a small team of artists, pattern cutters, seamstresses, and embroiderers dedicated to exceptional craftsmanship.

Once the design is finalised, we source fabrics based on your requirements and begin developing bespoke artworks, textiles, and embroideries that are personal to your story.

We typically recommend a minimum of two fittings. The process begins with a toile, an initial prototype of your garment, which you will try in your first fitting, allowing us to refine the silhouette, perfect fit, and make any final adjustments to the design before the final piece is created.

THE FINAL FITTING

Every Katie Ko couture piece is the culmination of hundreds of hours of meticulous craftsmanship and couture finishes by our small team in London.

Your final fitting is scheduled as close to the wear date as possible to ensure impeccable fit. Fittings will be conducted at our London atelier or our team can travel to you by arrangement. Alternatively, shipping can be arranged direct to you, where it may be fitted with a trusted alteration service, our atelier remains on hand via video consultation to guide any final refinements, ensuring your garment is perfected before your special occasion.
